Hey guys, this week we'll review on the "Gateway to Paradise Island"... For those who are not updated yet, Malaysia's own Paradise Island is located in Sipadan, Sabah. Hold your breath this review is not about Sipadan yet, but this is the gateway to Sipadan Island, "Semporna". Semporna literally means 'perfect' in Baha

sa, well the scenery is perfect.

Semporna has the gorgeous blue sea and blended with delightful scenic view. Perfect is the only word when you experience the beauty of sunset from resort that I've stayed. Dragon Inn Floating is built on the gorgeous blue sea within Sakaran's Sea Garden. Dragon Inn Floating can be reached by road and is about one hour from the Tawau International Airport. It is a comfortable resort, with high security and it is near to Semporna town.

Why do we say Semporna is the gateway to paradise island because Semporna has a jetty to Sipadan and Mabul Island. The beauty about Dragon Inn Floating is you can actually see real fish beneath the resorst when you walk on thier Berlian wood. The local said Berlian wood is strong even the sea waves hit the wood. No worries about staying there because it is totally save.

From the resort you can actually see Mabul Island. What it is intersting about Mabul Island is, from far you can see the island is like a laying men on the sea.

VIP room prices range from RM 250 to RM 400 per night.
Family room rate range from RM 110 to RM 200 per night.
Single and Double Rooms price ranges from RM 66 to RM 88.
For dormitories rates only RM 15 per night.

This is the conference and meeting room that can fit 40 to 150 people.

How to get to Semporna?

You can booked your flights from Kuala Lumpur to Tawau. You can choose either Malaysia Airline System at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) or Air Asia at Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT), Sepang.

1- Malaysia Airline System (MAS)

Direct Flight Kuala Lumpur to Tawau (TWU) Flight from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Tawau Airport takes about at least 2 hours and 45 minutes.

One Stop Flight (Kuala Lumpur --> Kota Kinabalu --> Kota Kinabalu --> Tawau Flights from Kuala Lumpur international airport to Kota Kinabalu International Airport takes about 2 hours 35 minutes. After that the flight from Kota Kinabalu to Tawau takes about 45 minutes.

2- Air Asia

Direct flights from Kuala Lumpur to Tawau. Flights from Kuala Lumpur (LCCT) to Tawau airport takes about at least 2 hours and 45 minutes.
